Bond’s Wrist: The Omega Story
From Dr. No to the present, James Bond and Omega have shared the screen for 60+ years. Sean Connery first wore the Submariner on screen in 1962 — it became the most famous wrist in cinema. Today, Daniel Craig’s Seamaster is just as iconic.
The only watch NASA certified for the lunar surface after 11 grueling tests. Buzz Aldrin strapped it to the outside of his spacesuit. Every Apollo moon landing. Every crewed NASA mission. The Speedmaster never failed in space.
The King of Cool strapped a Heuer Monaco to his wrist for the 1970 film Le Mans. Square. Blue dial. Chronograph. First automatic chronograph with a square case — it became the most iconic watch in motorsport history.
Watch dials once glowed with radium paint applied by hand by young women workers who were told to “lip point” their brushes. Their sacrifice exposed corporate negligence and created modern labor safety law. The glow came at an unbearable cost.
